WGS Systems, LLC, is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Engineer who will be involved in the development of advanced sensor systems on airborne reconnaissance and surveillance platforms for the United States government.

The qualified candidate must be capable of flowing system requirements to system and subsystem designs.  The candidate must also be capable of developing wiring diagrams, performing various system analyses such as power and weight, and perform system troubleshooting and testing.

The candidate must have experience in the following areas:

Requirements analysis,

Electrical system design and interface control,

Integration, troubleshooting, and system testing.

The responsibilities for this position will include:

Requirements management,

System/subsystem design,

System and subsystem interconnection and cabling design,

Supporting system integration and test activities,

Supporting the development of test plans, analyses, and other related system engineering activities,

Supporting integration, troubleshooting, and system testing and validation.

Qualified candidates must have:

BS/MS in electrical or computer engineering,

United States of America citizenship,

Current secret clearance, or the ability to acquire a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance,

4+ years of experience in electrical engineering disciplines and system testing,

Experience in electrical interfaces, schematics, and mechanical interfaces,

Strong written and verbal communications skills,

Ability to work independently, and also within an engineering team of varying disciplines.

Experience in related sensor systems (imagery, radar, signal collection) is preferred,

Experience in modeling and simulation in MATLAB is preferred,

Work environment:

Work will be performed in an office environment, in aircraft hangars, and on-board aircraft,

Testing will require the candidate to fly on government owned and operated aircraft,

A majority of the work will be performed in Hagerstown and Frederick, Maryland, with work in other locations in the greater Baltimore, Maryland/Washington, D.C. area expected,

Occasional travel will be required.
